Anita Summers, Interview with James Poterba and Claudia Goldin

Anita Arrow Summers blazed a trail for women in economics beginning in the 1940s with work at the NBER, Standard Oil of New Jersey, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her husband Robert, brother Kenneth and son Lawrence all became prominent economists. In this 2023 video, Summers is interviewed by NBER President James Poterba and Claudia Goldin, codirector of the NBER's Gender in the Economy working group and Nobel laureate.
