Calls for Fellowship Applications
The NBER coordinates graduate and post-doctoral fellowship programs supported by several federal and foundation funders. Fellowships are available for dissertation support for graduate students, and for post-doctoral researchers. Calls for most fellowships are posted in the fall, with closing dates in December. In the past year, the NBER was able to offer fellowship support for graduate students studying consumer financial management, gender in the economy, aging and health, and retirement and disability, and post-doctoral research support for the study of aging and health, agricultural economics, disability, fiscal policy, retirement security, tax competition, and diversity in the economics profession.
