Summers is the Charles W. Eliot University Professor, and President Emeritus, at Harvard University. He is a Research Associate in the NBER's Programs on Public Economics; Monetary Economics; Economic Fluctuations and Growth; Productivity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and Aging. He delivered these remarks as the fifth annual Martin Feldstein Lecture at the NBER Summer Institute on July 24, 2013.
