Featured Researcher: Emilia Simeonova
Emilia Simeonova is a professor at the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on the economics of healthcare delivery, the interaction between patient and provider, and recently, the effects of tribal casino operations on the mortality of Native Americans. She is an NBER research associate affiliated with the Children and Families program. She serves as an executive board member of the Hopkins Business of Health Initiative and is an expert member of the Tribal Early Childhood Research Center at the University of Colorado, Denver. She is a coeditor of the Journal of Human Resources and co-organized an NBER conference on Linking Historical Data Sources for Small Populations.
Simeonova received a bachelor's degree in economics and mathematics from Macalester College and a PhD in economics from Columbia University.
