Grant Metrics
1. Produce 24 original papers (6 per year) on policy relevant energy and environmental economics topics that are accessible to a broad, professional audience. Papers will be selected through a combination of direct commissioning from authors and selection among submissions to an Open Call for papers.
2. Organize 4 conferences (2025-2028) to be held both virtually and in person in Washington, DC that allow for more direct engagement with policy audiences. Attendance at each is expected to be approximately 100 people in-person each year.
3. Publish 4 annual volumes of compiled papers in the Environmental and Energy Policy and the Economy series, published by University of Chicago Press.
4. Support at least 5 doctoral students to attend the annual conference each year. Students will be selected by the conference organizers from a pool of applicants, prioritizing students from less well-resourced institutions and those with relevant research focus areas.
5. Continue to seek additional, complementary financial support to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the initiative.
