The source grant data files are quite large. There are 1972 file has 1,707,365 lines and the 1995 file has 3,954,179 lines. The CSV files contain the grant number (in three parts), amount, description codes, description emphasis (primary, secondary, tertiary) and text description. 2-N01-AH04094-04.txt is the first grant from the 1972 source grant file. 2-N01-AH04094-04.csv shows how it is represented in the CSV file. Grants can also be viewed online at http://crisp.cit.nih.gov
1995 is the last year for this data because it is the last year the amount of the grant was included in NIH CRISP.
