Our research was funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) through its Comparative Health systems. Performance (CHSP) Initiative (grant No. U19HS024072). The CHSP Initiative was started by AHRQ in 2015 in order to support research aimed at understanding the factors that affect health systems' use of PCOR and identifying best practices in disseminating and using PCOR. To this end, AHRQ awarded 5-year grants to three Centers of Excellence (CoEs) each with its own area of focus: Dartmouth College, the RAND Corporation, and the NBER. Additionally, in order to facilitate collaboration between the CoEs and disseminate findings, AHRQ established a Coordinating Center at Mathematica Policy Research. Additionally, we have received funds for follow-on research related to this project. This currently includes funds from the National Cancer Institute (through a subcontract with Harvard Medical School) for work on the quality of oncology care and funds from the Commonwealth Fund (through a subcontract with Harvard University) for work on telemedicine uptake and outcomes.
