Support for Ph.D. Students Studying Microeconomic Policies & Economic Growth
This initiative aims to accelerate U.S. economic growth by training a new generation of economists to bridge the gap between local policy and macroeconomic growth. While large-scale growth is a top priority for the country, it is often driven by specific, "micro" factors like how quickly we can build housing, modernize energy grids, or fund scientific research. Currently, much of the research in these areas doesn't clearly show how these individual policies move the needle on the overall economy. This project brings together top Ph.D. students and world-class experts from institutions like Stanford and the Federal Reserve to turn detailed policy data into actionable growth strategies. Through specialized workshops and public lectures, the program will equip young researchers with the tools to provide policymakers with the evidence they need to strengthen the nation's long-term economic trajectory.
