James Poterba is the Mitsui Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the President and CEO of the NBER. His research straddles the fields of public and financial economics, with particular emphasis on tax policy and on the determinants of retirement security.
Jeffrey Clemens, Co-Principal Investigator
Jeffrey Clemens is a professor in the department of economics at the University of California, San Diego. His research interests include the intersections between health economics and public finance, the economics of redistribution and social insurance, and state and local government finances.
