50th Annual International Seminar on Macroeconomics
From: Jeffrey Frankel and Hélène Rey, Co-Chairs of ISOM
The 50th annual meeting of the NBER International Seminar on Macroeconomics (ISOM) is scheduled for June 18-19, 2027, hosted by the Central Bank of Montenegro. The conference is organized by Jordi Gali and Kenneth West. We invite submissions for consideration. We are interested in papers in quantitative macroeconomics, broadly defined, but with an explicit international dimension. The research should be strongly motivated by real world questions and closely tied to real world facts and data.
The ISoM tradition is that half the papers include a co-author based in North America and half include a co-author based in Europe. Submissions may not be under consideration for publication at another journal; by submitting in response to this call for papers the authors agree to allow the Journal of International Economics to consider their papers for publication in a special issue. The refereeing process is supervised by a Guest Editor, who will be Vivian Yue in 2027.
If you are interested in presenting a paper, please upload a pdf file (either detailed abstract or draft paper) by November 1, 2026, to this link:
Please share this call for papers with other interested researchers.
Only authors of accepted papers will be contacted. Travel expenses for one author per paper will be covered.
