NBER Historical PublicationsNBER Bulletins, 1922 - 1940Beginning in August 1922 the NBER began issuing a News-Bulletin five or six times a year to give "advance summaries of findings" of NBER research, "report the progress of work under way, and state the topics under consideration for future investigations." The first News-Bulletin states that: "The Bureau hopes to maintain a mutually helpful contact with the growing body of thoughtful men and women who believe with it that economics, social and industrial programs of whatever sort should rest whenever possible on objective knowledge of fact and not on subjective impressions." The News-Bulletin was renamed the Bulletin in 1933 and ended its publication in 1940.
