Promoting Research on Household Financial Behavior

This project will investigate the institutional factors that shape household financial decision making and the process by which households make decisions, while also supporting the expansion of a research community of scholars who are developing expertise on household finance issues. It will encourage researchers to work in the field, raise standards for work in this area, support networking among researchers interested in household finance, and help disseminate research findings to policy-makers and those in industry. It will also focus on attracting young researchers into the field and encourage the development of their research programs.
