NBER Historical Archives
|
The NBER Historical Archives (on-line) contains documents that bear on the NBER's corporate history. These documents include bulletins (1922 to 1940), interviews with researchers who worked at the NBER from the 1930s to the 1950s, research materials, and selected correspondence. These materials are housed, as well, at the NBER's Cambridge offices, along with the NBER's Annual Reports. Other on-line materials related to the NBER's corporate history include NBER books published from 1921 to the present, the Macro History Database, business cycle expansion and contraction dates, and various other data sets created by NBER researchers in the NBER collection.
The NBER Historical Archives is maintained by Claudia Goldin, Director of the Development of the American Economy Program. The late Robert Lipsey, former head of the NBER's New York office, provided many of the documents.
