NHANES II Data -- National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey II Data

These Stata data files were created by Jean Roth at the NBER to make easier access to the CDCs' National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey II (NHANES II) Data Files.

Compressed plain ASCII text files, Documenation, and SAS code are available from the CDC's FTP site.

The Stata .dta data files can be converted to other formats using software such as Stat/Transfer or DBMS/Copy.
Plain ASCII text files are available from the CDC website. Documenation and SAS Code are available there as well.

Internal users can access the programs and data in a UNIX shell at /homes/data/nhanes/nhanesII, or
on an NBER PC at Network Neighborhood --> NBER --> home --> data --> nhanes --> nhanesII
To download files in Internet Explorer, right click on them and select "Save Target As...".
