Human Subjects Protection
The NBER and our funders are committed to protecting the rights, welfare and privacy of human subjects. We have a section of our website dedicated to providing resources for evaluating human subjects risks, as well as information about the NBER human subjects review process. There is also an on-line human subjects course which is required for all project investigators and co-project investigators on grants sponsored by agencies of the NIH. It is also recommended for other NBER researchers. Go to the Human Subjects Protection Site Protecting Personal Health Information in Research: Understanding the HIPAA Privacy Rule The HIPAA Privacy Rule and Research - A PowerPoint Presentation. | ||||
