Call For Papers

The 41st Annual NBER Summer Institute will be held in Cambridge, Massachusetts from July 9 to July 27, 2018. Workshops will focus on a number of different topics including:

International Trade and Investment
Labor Economics
Law and Economics
Monetary Economics
Personnel Economics
Political Economy
Productivity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
Risk of Financial Institutions
Social Security
Urban Economics

The NBER provides continental breakfast and lunch each day, as well as limited support services. Authors whose papers are selected for presentation and who are invited to attend any of the workshops must pay for their own transportation and lodging.

Researchers who have completed their Ph.D.s, and who are interested in participating in the 2018 Summer Institute, should submit a copy of the paper they would like considered for the program, or a one page abstract if the paper is not complete, no later than midnight (EST) March 19, 2018. Several workshops will not consider abstracts. Only completed papers may be submitted to: Asset Pricing, Corporate Finance, Development Economics, Economic Fluctuations and Growth, Energy and Environmental Economics, Health Economics, Law and Economics, Monetary Economics, and Political Economy. The submission form is in two parts. The first page asks for author and title information. The second asks which workshop(s) - up to three - you would like to consider the submission.
