The 31st Annual NBER Summer Institute will be held in Cambridge, Massachusetts from July 12 to August 5, 2010. Workshops will focus on a number of different topics including:

Corporate Law & Investor Protection Health Economics
Economic Fluctuations and Growth Health Economics
Economics of Aging Industrial Organization
Economics of Children and Family Innovation Policy and the Economy
Economics of Education Intellectual Property Policy and Innovation
Economics of Household Savings International Finance
Economics of National Security International Trade and Investment
Economics of Real Estate and Local Labor Economics
Public Finance Law and Economics
Economics of Social Security Monetary Economics
Environmental & Energy Economics Political Economy
Productivity

The NBER provides continental breakfast and lunch each day, as well as limited support services. Those whose papers are selected for presentation and who are invited to attend any of the workshops must pay for their own transportation and lodging. The NBER can provide assistance with housing arrangements.

Economists at the assistant professor level or above who are interested in participating in the 2010 Summer Institute should submit a curriculum vitae and a one-page abstract of any paper they would like to present by January 29, 2010. If you are submitting a paper to the Monetary Economics or International Trade and Investment workshops, please submit a curriculum vitae and full paper. Questions can be sent to Rob Shannon
