Unrestricted contributions allow the NBER to maintain a degree of independence and flexibility in choosing its research activities, whereas restricted contributions are designated for the support of specific projects.

Corporate Associates are invited to participate in the Bureau's annual Tax Policy and the Economy conference. Corporate Associates also receive up-to-date information on Bureau research, including the NBER Reporter,the NBER Digest, NBER Working Papers including full access to an online archive going back to November 1994, and recently published NBER books.Other levels of support are available.
