Dear Economics of Education program group,

The Institute for Education Sciences (IES) has alerted me to the fact
that they would very much like to hire a program officer who is an
economist of education. This person should be an excellent judge of
research related to education that employs methods and data and theory
common among economists. A person who has been out at least a few
years would be good candidate. A person with a good deal of
experience would work equally well. Obviously, the person should be
glad to live in the DC area.

If you can suggest someone who would fit the bill, please let me know.
I will get in touch with him or her directly and tell him/her whom to
contact at IES.

This is an important request coming from IES because we (economists of
education) submit great research proposals and IES recognizes that it
needs a program officer who knows all of the latest methods and
research opportunities.

All good wishes,

Caroline Hoxby
