Sarah Turner and Caroline Hoxby are seeking your assistance in
identifying excellent candidates for a full-time, senior research
assistant position on our Expanding College Opportunities project
which is based at Stanford.

We are looking for a person with the following skills and attributes:
* experience in the analysis and manipulation of large administrative
and survey data sets using stata and excel;
* demonstrated research achievement in empirical social sciences with
interests in the area of education;
* capacity to work with others on a project team;
* self-motivation and the ability to work independently, engaging in
effective long-term planning as well as creative short-term problem
solving;
* excellent communication skills, including the capacity to write
materials for funders and other constituents.

As you have worked with very able students and you know many talented
young researchers and recent graduates, we are hoping that you may
know of someone who is an excellent "fit" and might welcome a job
transition. This is a job for someone with at least a couple of years
of relevant experience, but not necessarily a degree above a BA
degree. However, we will certainly look very favorably on training at
the higher-than-BA level.

If you know of someone with these skills who you think may be
interested, please do not hesitate to pass a name along or to have the
candidate write or call us directly.
