to DEV and I look forward to their participation in our activities.
Our meeting at the Summer Insitute this year will be from lunch on Sunday,
22 July through lunch on Tuesday 24 July. Esther Duflo and Penny Goldberg
will give master lectures that will bookend the meeting. The program is

I am very grateful to David Atkin, Pascaline Dupas, Andrew Foster,
Sebastian Galiani and Costas Meghir, who served on the program selection
committee with me. We had another 20% increase in the number of papers
submitted relative to last year and it is an understatement to describe
the selection process as really brutal.
You should have received an invitation from Rob Shannon to participate in
SI. Please let me know if you did not receive an invitation. I hope you
will be able to join us.
Our Fall program meeting will be from lunch on Friday 30 November to
around noon on Saturday 1 Decemember in Cambridge, MA. A call for papers
will be distributed in the summer. The program will be selected by Esther
Duflo, Joe Kaboski, Jeremy Magruder, Mark Rosenzweig, Chris Woodruff and
me.
As always, please let me know if you have suggestions for improving DEV. I
hope I will see you at SI and our Fall meeting.
