Dear NBER DEV members

I trust you received a call for papers in the last few days for our Fall
program meeting on Dec 7/8. The meeting, which will be jointly hosted with
BREAD, will be in Cambridge, MA. The call is also available at
   http://ibread.org/bread/conferences/bread-34-conference
I hope you will submit your papers and be able to participate in the
meeting. I am grateful to Ray Fisman, Rema Hanna, Penny Goldberg and
Michael Kremer who will serve on the program selection committee with me.

Thanks to those of you who participated in the Summer Institute this year
and contributed to making it another very successful meeting. I thought
the presentations and discussions were absolutely terrific and I hope you
enjoyed the meeting as much as I did.

I am very pleased to announce that Penny Goldberg and Ben Olken have
graciously agreed to join the DEV Advisory Committee as Andy Foster and
Chang-Tai Hsieh cycle off. I cannot overstate how grateful I am to both
Andy and Chang who have served on the Advisory Committee since DEV was
founded. They have played a pivotal role in building DEV into the program
it is today. Many, many thanks to Andy and Chang and to Ben and Penny!

As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions for making DEV
work better for you. Many thanks and I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer.

Best wishes,
Duncan
