Dear Labor Studies Program Members and NBER Staff -

I hope that you will join me in congratulating Richard Freeman,
the Herbert Ascherman Professor of Economics at Harvard University and
the former director of the NBER's Labor Studies Program, who has been
named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic Association. The
award citation describes Richard as "an enormously innovative labor
economist who has made pioneering contributions to virtually every
aspect of the field."

The full list of this year's AEA honors and awards, which includes
a link to the full citation for Richard's award, can be found at

All best wishes.
