Dear NBER Labor Studies Program Members,

This note is a gentler reminder that March 16 is the deadline for
submissions for slots at the Labor Studies workshop of this year's NBER
Summer Institute. The Labor Studies meeting will take place during the
week of July 30 - August 3 in Cambridge, MA.

If you have a paper (or a project in progress) that you would like to
present, please send a draft of the paper, an abstract, or even a tentative
title with a brief description to Larry Katz <lkatz@harvard.edu> and to
Richard Freeman <freeman@nber.org>. We very much would like to encourage
the presentation of new projects and ideas that may not yet be complete
papers, especially given that the NBER rules mean we must have an extremely
early submission deadline (4 months before the meeting). Although the
meetings have grown in size in recent years, we hope to have an informal
atmosphere to make the meetings a constructive forum for authors to get
feedback on new work and projects in progress.

I look forward to seeing you in Cambridge this summer.

Sincerely,

Larry Katz
