Vital Statistics Births Data 1975-1997

The NBER now has a complete set of birth data from the
National Vital Statistics System of the National Center
for Health Statistics from 1975 to 1997.

Documentation and SAS input files are available with the
data. The data are UNIX compressed ASCII format and can
be uncompressed with the UNIX uncompress command or the
software downloadable at the website. I can loan out
cd-rom copies of the larger files.

I am available for consultations via e-mail, in person, and
on the telephone.
