Hi,

Sorry for the second intrusion. It seems that God or at least the computer
God has a sense of humor so he/she eliminated the body of my last email.
The body of the email said:

Just in case you have a student in trade who is on the market this year, you
might suggest they apply to Calgary.  We have two assistant slots open and I
am head of recruiting.

While I understand this placement cannot help you with student recruitment
or anything else, I can offer:

(1) reduced teaching until tenure;

(2) an excellent visiting speaker’s program;

(3) entertaining short term visitors in trade (some of you have already been
here, Jim Anderson and Rob are coming this year);

(4) graduate teaching in trade;

(5) a salary competitive with US prospects;

(6) my help in getting things published on their own; and

(7) mountains, skiing and hiking.

I want someone who ranks (7) last and (6) first.

sincerely,

Scott
