*************************** CALL FOR PAPERS
******************************************
******************************************************************************************

*The NBER research program in Industrial Organization will next meet on
the Stanford campus on Friday, January 24 - Saturday, January 25, 2014.
The meeting will begin with a joint session with the NBER Environmental
and Energy Economics Program on Friday morning, January 24. The IO
program meeting will commence following lunch on Friday, and conclude by
4 p.m. on Saturday. *Severin Borenstein and Ben Handel will organize the
IO program; they will co-organize the joint IO/EEE session with
Catherine Wolfram and Christopher Costello.

This program meeting will follow the "discussant presents" format.
Discussants will have 25-30 minutes to present highlights of the paper,
incorporating their comments to set the stage for floor discussion.
Authors will have 10-15 minutes to add their remarks, and the remainder
of the time will be devoted to discussion from the floor.

The IO program meeting solicits papers across a broad range of
questions, methods, and applications in industrial organization. Our
ideal is research at the working paper stage. To ensure that completed
papers are available for distribution, we will decide the program based
on submissions of draft papers. These are the papers that will be
posted for participants _unless a revised version is received by the
NBER conference department by January 2, 2014_. If you are not
confident of having your final version available by January 2, you
should plan to submit your paper for the Summer Institute meeting, which
will be held in July 2014 in Cambridge.

*If you have a paper you would like to present, please upload a full
draft paper to one of the following links NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 22:

*Submissions for the joint IO/EEE session:
http://www.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=EEE/IO14

Submissions for the IO program meeting:
http://papers.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=IOs14

***THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS **
                  ** Tuesday, October 22, 2013 by 9 p.m. Eastern Time **

*Authors of papers selected for the program will be notified by early
December. While we have space for only a small fraction of submissions
we receive, we give each our careful consideration.

*Please forward this call to others, especially junior faculty*, who
might have papers suitable for this meeting. We try to be inclusive,
but don't have every e-mail on our distribution list, and we count on
your help to get the word out. *Researchers may self-subscribe to the
call for papers distribution list *at:
