Dear friends,

Please find attached the call for papers for the conference "New
Perspectives on Financial Globalization" to be held at IMF headquarters
in Washington, DC, April 26-27, 2007. The Research Department of the IMF
and Cornell University are co-sponsors of the conference, and the
organizers are Ayhan Kose, Eswar Prasad, Marco Terrones, and myself.

The goal of the conference is to provide a forum to discuss recent
theoretical and empirical research on the macroeconomic implications of
financial globalization. The conference papers will be considered for
publication in a symposium issue of the Journal of Development
Economics. The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 1, 2006.
