The Bureau uses American Express Travel in Cambridge as its travel agency. The phone number is 1-800-964-7409. You definitely should book travel through the agency for two reasons. First, the fare is charged directly to the Bureau. You do not have to pay yourself and then get reimbursed. Second, the fare is discounted even if you fly from New York to Boston on the Delta or U.S. Air Shuttles. I just booked a round-trip flight for the March 26 Health Economics Program Meeting. The full-cost round-trip fare is $483.20. The discounted fare is $267.20. Discounted fares are not available if you travel from New York to Boston via Amtrak.
