Graduate Students at NBER Summer Institute

Dear Family Members -
       In less than two months, the NBER Summer Institute will be well
underway. We plan to continue the recent practice of welcoming graduate
students to the Summer Institute,on a space-available basis, provided
that they have been nominated by an NBER affiliate. Participating
students will be invited to join in Summer Institute lunches, but they
will need to cover their own travel and lodging expenses. If you have a
student who you feel would benefit substantially from attending this
year's Summer Institute, please send a "nomination" paragraph to your
Program Director no later than Friday, May 22. The space constraints of
our meeting locations may not permit us to accept all nominations. If
we need to ration places, priority will be given to students who will be
completing their Ph.D. next year. Students who are selected to
participate in the meetings will receive invitations in early June.
