Dear NBER Colleagues -

Olivier Blanchard has asked me to call your attention to the IMF
Fellowship program, which is now in its second year. The program
supports policy-relevant research of interest to the international
financial community. IMF fellows spend their year working on mutually
agreed upon topics that are relevant for the work of the IMF. They
receive competitive salaries and benefits, as well as
allowances for relocation and conference travel. The fellows for the
inaugural year were Olivier Coibion, Chris Erceg, and Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan.

Applicants are expected to have a substantial research record in leading
journals as well as a strong interest in the IMF's policy-relevant
work. Applications, consisting of a c.v., a 1-2 page outline of
proposed research projects, and links to one or two research papers,
should be submitted no later than November 30, 2012 to
imffellowshipprogram_at_imf.org. The selection of the 2013-4 Fellows will
be made by late February, 2013.

I hope that this is of interest. All best wishes.

Jim Poterba
