Dear NBER EEE Members: Please feel free to forward this announcement on to interested junior colleagues and graduating doctoral students. Thanks, Joe.

New Fellowship Opportunity for 2015-2016:
Louis Bacon Environmental Academic Fellow

The Center for Public Leadership<http://www.centerforpublicleadership.org/> (CPL) at Harvard Kennedy School (HKS), in partnership with the Harvard University Center for the Environment<http://environment.harvard.edu/>, HKS's Environment and Natural Resources Program<http://belfercenter.ksg.harvard.edu/project/43/environment_and_natural_resources.html>, and other environmentally focused programs across the University, invites applications for a position as a Louis Bacon Environmental Academic Fellow for one year. The fellowship is open to assistant professors and junior faculty who wish to spend the year at the Harvard Kennedy School focusing on research and interacting with our fellows, students, and faculty. We will also entertain applications from scholars who have recently completed their doctorate (or will do so by June 30, 2015) or from senior practitioners with experience in academia. We seek applications from scholars whose research addresses important environmental policy research questions.

The Louis Bacon Environmental Academic Fellow will be expected to collaborate with Harvard faculty in a variety of policy-relevant research areas, as well as work on their own projects. Furthermore, the Fellow will have the unique opportunity to work with outstanding students in degree programs at HKS who are preparing for leadership roles in environmental fields, as well as participate in a rich array of co-curricular activities with CPL fellows and engage with the wider School and University community.

Applicants must submit a short research statement (2-4 pages) that briefly describes their background and experience in environmental policy and a research proposal for the fellowship year, a current CV, and contact information for two (2) recommenders.
Applications must be submitted via email to enrp_at_hks.harvard.edu<mailto:enrp_at_hks.harvard.edu> (subject line "Louis Bacon Environmental Academic Fellowship") by January 15, 2015. Letters of recommendation may be emailed directly to enrp_at_hks.harvard.edu<mailto:enrp_at_hks.harvard.edu>.

The incoming Fellow will receive an appropriate stipend based on their experience as well as research funds and office space. The application deadline is January 15, 2015. We will announce the final selection before February 28, 2015. The appointment for the Louis Bacon Environmental Academic Fellow is for a one-year, academic year fellowship.
