Dear DEV members:

We are looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming Fall program meeting
Thursday and Friday of this week.

You may have noticed the "Gather Town" receptions on the program, and we
wanted to say an additional word on this for those of you who haven't used
it before. Gather Town is a platform that allows users to 'mingle' in a
virtual setting. When you enter you will find a little 2-D world where you
can 'walk' around and see other users. If you approach another group, you
will pop into a video chat with them, with up to 9 people in a chat. The
idea is to partially recreate the casual interactions that many of us value
at program meetings. Please make sure to use Chrome or Firefox to access
Gather.

We have scheduled Gather sessions for an hour at the end of each day (from
5-6pm eastern time) and we very much hope people will join. If you have
trouble joining you can email Caitlin Rowe <rowe_at_kellogg.northwestern.edu>
who can try to help out.

Best wishes,
Ben and Seema
