Dear NBER DEV members
Many thanks to those of you who came to our Fall program meeting last
month. The DEV 2017 Fall program meeting will be in Cambridge MA and will
be a joint meeting with BREAD. We will start at lunchtime on Friday
December 8 and end at lunchtime on Saturday December 9. Please mark your
calendar. A call for papers will be distributed in the summer.
Repeating the format we tried last year, the DEV 2017 Summer Institute
meeting will start at lunchtime on Sunday July 23 and end at lunchtime on
Tuesday July 26. This is the beginning of week 3 of SI.
You should have received a call for papers from Rob Shannon. Please submit
your paper at
http://papers.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=SI17DEV by
Monday March 20. I am very grateful to Eric Edmonds, Seema Jayachandran,
Rob Jensen, Ben Olken and Chris Udry for serving with me on the Scientific
Committee and selecting the program for our SI meeting.
