To the DAE Family:

Greetings all.

At the start of each summer I meet with Jim Poterba to discuss the main research issues that interest our group and the possibility of conferences and conference volumes. Please send to me at your earliest convenience, but no later than June 28, a pithy statement about your main (current and future) research topics. I know many of the details for most of you, so please write succinctly in one or two paragraphs (no attachments please; I have just an hour of Jim's time for everyone). If you care to do so, please also include one new idea or method that you think is really exciting in our field (e.g., machine learning to link records; the complete-count censuses; the musical Hamilton [just kidding]). With thanks.

Hope to see you in July at the NBER-DAE SI. And thanks to organizers Charlie Calomiris, Karen Clay and Trevon Logan for putting together a superb schedule<http://conference.nber.org/confer/2016/SI2016/DAE/DAEprg.html>.

Best wishes,

Claudia
