Dear Asset Pricing Program Members -

Monika Piazzesi, who has served with great distinction as the director
of the Asset Pricing Program for the last twelve years, recently
informed me that she would like to step down from this role at the end
of this summer.  Monika has done a superb job of building an
intellectually vibrant program, and I hope that you will join me in
thanking her for outstanding leadership, her hard work, and her
dedication to the program and its members.   I also hope that you will
make every effort to join me for dinner in Cambridge on Wednesday
evening, July 10, the Wednesday evening of Summer Institute week 1, so
that we can collectively thank Monika for her extraordinary leadership.

In the coming weeks, I will reach out to many AP program members to
solicit advice on selecting the next program director. I hope that you
will not hesitate to contact me and to share your views about important
attributes of Monika's successor, and about significant directions in
research activity in asset pricing that may bear on this choice.  I
would also welcome suggestions about potential candidates who might be
well suited to this role.

I look forward to your input, and to seeing you this summer.  All best
wishes.
