The World Bank is looking for young PhD's in international trade or foreign investment to join their Research Group (DEC) in the Trade and Integration Team. This would be an ideal position for someone who has been out of graduate school for several years and is looking for a research position.

The Trade and Integration Team of the Development Research Group (DECTI) is the focal point of the World Bank’s research on international economic integration. Main research areas include evaluation of economic and social impact of trade and other policy interventions, trade facilitation, international migration and foreign direct investment as well as linkages between globalization and technological change, economic growth, labor markets, poverty and climate change. Members of DECTI are expected to maintain an outstanding publications record as well as provide policy advice and technical assistance to World Bank operational units and clients in various projects.
Requirements include the following: (i) Ph.D. degree in Economics or related field with 3+ years of experience; (ii) demonstrated technical skills, including econometric methods or analytical modeling, (iii) record of original research in peer reviewed journals, (iv) ability to communicate technical knowledge and expertise; (v) excellent spoken and written proficiency in English; (vi) three references.
