The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) is recruiting for the 2010-2011
academic year. We are seeking both senior economists (typically faculty
members on leave from universities) and staff economists (students
partway through their Ph.D. programs). This year's senior economists
include a distinguished list of NBER researchers. Senior economists
participate actively in the policy process and have primary
responsibility for the research and reports produced by the CEA.
Senior economists normally come for an academic year (roughly July
through July), but we are also open to other schedules. If you are
interested in joining the CEA, please see the attached call for
applications.

We are also seeking staff economists, who are typically Ph.D. students
between the coursework and dissertation writing stages. Staff
economists work closely with the senior economists and do a wide range
of advanced statistical work, report writing, and memo preparation. If
you have a student who you think would thrive in this environment,
please pass along the call for applications.
