Dear Staff Colleagues -
Please accept my very best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving. I am
deeply grateful for the privilege of working with such talented and
dedicated group of partners in advancing the NBER's mission.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to reflect on ways to support
those in our community who are in need. I am pleased to report that as
a result of your enthusiastic endorsement, in lieu of our holiday party
the NBER has recently made contributions to four local charities that
provide a lifeline to our less fortunate neighbors: the Cambridge
Community Foundation, Food For Free (a food bank on Inman St. right
behind Cambridge City Hall), the Women's Lunch Place in Boston, and the
Greater Boston Food Bank.
I hope that you will be able to join with family and friends to
celebrate this special holiday. All best wishes.
