Freestanding Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Cost Reports -- HCRIS Freestanding Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)


These SAS files, etc., were created by data@nber.org at the NBER to make access to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' CMS' Healthcare Cost Report Information System (HCRIS) Freestanding Federally Qualified Health Center cost reports data files a bit easier. Some

materials are set up as well.

Earlier, pre-FY2015, Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC) data was included in the 222-92 HCRIS Health Clinic data along with Rural Health Clinic (RHC) data. Going forward, the RHCs will remain in the HCRIS Health Clinic 222-92 deliveries, while the FQHCs will use the new form, 224-14.

CMS provides HCRIS source data files and documentation for the 224-14 version of the files. The Provider Reimbursement Manual versions 224-14 files have an instruction manual and worksheets.

This 224-14 worksheet materials are helpful for identifying the worksheet, line, and columns of the variables.

Select variables from the cost reports is avaialble in the files below. One of the variables included is ZIP Code. A ZIP Code distance database is available.
