Central to understanding the supply and demand for those with advanced
technical training is an understanding of the factors which enter into
individual decision making. A decision to enter the market for advanced
training may depend on an individual's risk sensativity, preference for
technical work, intellectual versatility, depth of knowledge about the
markets in question, and related factors. PEAT will try to disentangle
the various issues surrounding the incentives influencing individual decision
making.
