Jennifer Amadeo-Holl

I am a painter based in Boston working primarily in oil . I describe my paintings as "abstracted narratives." The compositions are tightly structured - people, objects and scenes are wedded and juxtaposed in ways that explore the relationship between individuals and between the animate and inanimate. I employ both classical and cubist techniques to manipulate objects, color and space. My images are rich in detail and associational imagery - a plethora of "facts" are provided, yet the whole is still insufficiently factural to be caged in a static idea.
