This CD-ROM contains the 1969 Natality Detail file and documentation.  The 
former is in ASCII  format and has the filename Natl1969.zip.  The number 
of records in the file is 1,800,103.  The data may be tabulated using SAS 
or similar software.  The documentation file is named NAT69_71 and is in 
PDF format.   If the user has Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or greater 
currently installed, the files may be viewed by starting the reader and 
choosing File, Open from the menu.  If a version of Acrobat Reader is not 
installed, a Windows version of Acroread.exe can be installed from this CD-
ROM.  Users with Windows should install rs405eng.exe.  They do this by 
selecting Run from the Start menu and typing X:\acrobat\rs405eng.exe 
(replace the X:\ with your CD-ROM drive letter.)  The installation software 
will create an icon which will start the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
