Dear NBER Employees,

WebTime is now open for the payroll period July 28 - August 10, 2013.
Please log into the system:
http://www.resnavweb.com:81/NBERNET/login.aspx sometime between today,
Thursday, August 8, and next Monday, August 12 at noon and enter your
earned time hours for those two weeks.

*If you missed the window to enter your time for the previous pay period
(July 14 - 27), please enter your time now for all four weeks.*

Once you have reported your time for this pay period, I will be able to
update July earned time in ADP and on the NBER website
<http://nber.org/earned_time/>.

A few things to keep in mind:

 1. *The WebTime system only works with Firefox and Internet Explorer.
If you try to enter your time using Chrome, the result will be
    incorrect hour totals.
    *
 2. You should only enter *one "Z" code per pay period*, in the
Coded column of the first Monday of the pay period if you took no
time off during those two weeks.
 3. If you have entered any time off in the pay period, including
official NBER holidays, then it's not necessary to enter a Z for the
    pay period.
 4. *Please remember to save your time for _each week, one week at a
time_*. *When you are finished, your name should appear in _all
boxes_ of the User Id column on the right hand side of the page, in
each week of the pay period.*

In order to keep the system working smoothly, it is essential that you
get into the habit of logging in every two weeks, as soon as you receive
the email notifying you that the new pay period is open. While this may
seem time consuming at the start, once we are all used to the system it
should take only a few minutes each time.

The payroll schedule and the list of times when the electronic system
will be "open" for earned time entry can be found in the attached pdf.
Please remember that the process for entering earned time hours depends
on whether your hours are charged to a single or to multiple projects;
there are instructions for the two cases below.

The attached revised schedule replaces the earlier schedule included in
the WebTime user guides linked to below.
