Dear International Finance and Macroeconomics, and Political Economy,
Program Members -

      I hope that you will join me in congratulating Torsten Persson,
the Swedish Research Council Distinguished Professor at the Institute
for International Economic Studies in Stockholm, and a Research
Associate in both the IFM and POL programs at NBER, who has been named a
Foreign Honorary Member of the American Economic Association. Torsten
has been an NBER affiliate since 1990.
