Dear NTA Colleagues:

The Tax and Expenditure Policy Program at Rice University is organizing a
conference to be held April 27-28, 2006, at the Baker Institute. The
conference, which will include numerous internationally acclaimed tax experts, will
focus on the economic and political implications of various tax reform proposals
currently under discussion in the United States. The conference is
supported by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and is titled, “Is It Time
for Fundamental Tax Reform? The Known, The Unknown, and The Unknowable.”
