Dear Program Members -
      Yesterday's email describing the various Summer Institute sessions
and calling for papers for those sessions neglected to mention the NBER
Children's Program SI meetings, which will take place during the same week
as the Public Economics Summer Institute. The Children's Program meeting
will take place on July 25-26, 2006 and it will be organized by Jon Gruber
(gruberj@mit.edu). Jon would welcome paper submissions on the economics of
children and children's well-being, including but not limited to education
production and outcomes; health care production and outcomes for children;
the implications of parental behavior for youth outcomes; the impact of
government redistributional programs on children; issues in youth risk
behavior, including substance abuse, crime, and teen childbearing; the
school to work transition; and analyses of children's issues in developing
country contexts.
        I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming program meeting and
again at summer institute. All best wishes.
Jim
