The Minnesota Department of Revenue has a challenging opportunity for
someone who can serve as the state's expert in tax policy. They will be
responsible for advising the Minnesota Departments of Revenue and Finance,
the Governor's Office and State Legislature on tax policy issues;
directing staff responsible for research and policy analysis of state,
local and federal tax systems; and working collaboratively with agency
staff and policy makers in preparing and evaluating major tax policy
options and tax reform ideas. The successful candidate will have strong
theoretical and practical experience in economics and public finance and
be able to identify and propose creative solutions to our state's
important and challenging tax policy issues.
