This year's Public Economics Summer Institute will be held during the week
of August 2, 2004. There will be six sub-group meetings during this period:

AUGUST 2 and 3, Environmental Economics, organized by Lawrence Goulder and
Michael Greenstone

AUGUST 2 AND 3, Real Estate Markets, Local Public Finance, and Public
Policy, organized by Todd Sinai (sinai@wharton.upenn.edu) deadline: March 31.

AUGUST 3, Economics of National Security, organized by Martin Feldstein
(msfeldst@nber.org) deadline: March 31.

AUGUST 4, Social Security Working Group, organized by Jeff Liebman
(liebman@nber.org) deadline: April 9.

AUGUST 5, Economics of Taxation, organized by Emmanuel Saez and V. V. Chari
(contact saez@econ.berkeley.edu) deadline: March 31.

AUGUST 5, Economics of Education, organized by Caroline Hoxby
(choxby@harvard.edu) deadline: April 9.

Anyone who has papers that might be suitable for these sessions should
submit them to the organizers by the deadlines stated.
