Bernanke have asked me to invite you to the Fall Program Meeting of the Monetary Economics group. The meeting will be held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, Royal Sonesta Hotel, 5 Cambridge Parkway, Cambridge, MA, on Friday, November 17, 2000. The preliminary program is enclosed. There will be a group dinner for meeting participants at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, 5 Cambridge Parkway, Cambridge, MA. Out of town participants will be housed, as requested, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. The NBER will cover the cost of your room and tax for one or two nights depending on your point of origin. If you wish to stay additional nights the rate is $172.00 per night, single or double occupancy, plus 12.45% tax. The NBER will also cover travel expenses in accordance with the enclosed travel regulations. Please read these regulations carefully because there are limitations to what the Bureau can reimburse. Please fill out the enclosed reply form and return it to me in the envelope provided. Or you may fax your reply form to 617/864-1825. Please return your reply form no later than TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17. Out-of-town participants are urged to book their flights as soon as possible in order to qualify for discounted fares. Due to budget constraints, the Bureau is only able to pay for deeply discounted air fares. Travel expense forms will be available at the meeting.
